About

After working for over a decade in education I had found myself often frustrated that I couldn't talk of Christ in my work. I feel like He is completely left out of education. For one example, it feels like Christmas is taught to children in school as "Santa Claus Day," and they read books  and sing songs about Santa, make crafts of Santa, and even write wish-lists to him. Yet the real reason for Christmas gets overlooked. There are many examples of how Christ's name is never mentioned in the classroom and it saddens and frustrates me.

As I prepared to send my third of four children off to preschool I realized I was late in the game and most schools were on waitlists. As I got up with my baby one night, inspiration came to me that I should open my own Preschool. I walked through our beautiful upstairs of our 100+ year old home and knew it needed to be right there. I had worked as both a teacher and a school director, but now it was time to put on the hat of owner too, where I have the freedom to teach about Christ.

When I started looking for a name for the school I wanted something that would show our Christian roots. Bees have historically been used to symbolize Christ's disciples working tirelessly and harmoniously towards the same cause. God's Kingdom has also been symbolized historically as a beehive. It felt like the perfect theme for our school.

Our little ones, much like bees, have so much energy and are ready to go all day long. When they are taught who they really are from a young age they can be unstoppable in doing work in God's Kingdom. It's no wonder why the scriptures teach us to become like children ourselves as they are naturally so good. However, our little ones need to be taught how to put on the full armor of God each day to spiritually survive. They need to know Christ and have His perfect example of how to live-- especially in the ever increasingly loud, confused world that we live in. The time is needed now more than ever for all of God's children to work together to do good in this world!

"The Savior's words are simple — yet their meaning is profound and deeply significant. We are to love God and to love and care for our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-40). Imagine what good we can do in the world if we all join together, united as followers of Christ, anxiously and busily responding to the needs of others and serving those around us — our families, our friends, our neighbors, our fellow citizens." --Russell M. Ballard

This school is about bringing our community closer to Christ as we take time to remember, and learn of Him, while also teaching all other foundations of learning!

I love Jesus Christ and I will spend my life serving Him! He made me new when He taught me who I am. Now that I know my worth, His opinion is the only one that matters to me. He has sustained me through all the trials of my life, especially losing my parents and brother unexpectedly-- all within 5 years. I couldn't go on without Him. He is my peace, my light, my hope, and my strength. Nothing in this life makes sense without Him!
